Job Description

**About the Role**

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler to join our team for a 6-month ongoing contract. The successful candidate will be working within the Loans Engineering Team, focused on developing new and enhancing current data models for various regulatory initiatives being implemented firm-wide.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Participate in design and review discussions for requirements with key stakeholders, demonstrating a strong understanding of loans products and the loans ecosystem.
  • Translate requirements into data models that adhere to enterprise architecture standards and regulatory standards being implemented firm-wide.
  • Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive experience in data modeling with a strong understanding of data modeling standards.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual modeling skills, data types, and data cardinality, identifying constraints.
  • Previous background as a software engineer.
  • Experience with data modeling, data analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and the development of physical, conceptual, and logical models.
  • Scripting/programming ability in one or more languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
  • Broad knowledge of financial products and markets.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
