Credit Risk Analyst Job Description

Crown Agents Bank is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Credit Risk Management function, you will play a crucial role in assessing and monitoring the creditworthiness of our counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality credit applications and assessments, including analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
  • Attend Credit Committee meetings and ensure that questions are properly addressed and meeting minutes are accurately captured.
  • Perform internal credit ratings using the Bank's rating system and expected credit loss calculations in line with the Credit Policy and Procedures.
  • Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and participate in client meetings and discussions as required.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and macro-economic developments and assess their impact on the portfolio credit quality.
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc credit reports covering exposures and credit risk developments.
  • Ensure effective credit administration, including credit file maintenance, monitoring of credit limits, and timely completion of annual credit reviews.
  • Participate in audit preparations and address audit queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve credit processes and controls to achieve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in a commercial or numerical subject and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • Demonstrable credit analysis experience and a broad knowledge of FIs, Sovereigns, Corporates, and NBFI credit risk within the financial services industry.
  • Good understanding of the IFRS9 impairment process and financial modelling skills.
  • Working knowledge of banking products from a credit risk perspective, including global markets Treasury/FX products and trade finance.
