As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of customs and freight forwarding professionals, ensuring the smooth execution of logistics operations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of customs and freight forwarding professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the Customs and Freight Forwarding team, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with clients, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
  • Training and Development: Assist the Customs Manager with internal and external training, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Client Management: Attend client meetings alongside the Customs Manager, maintaining and managing client key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Cost Management: Contribute to department cost management and profit optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical customs knowledge and experience in a team lead/supervisory role.
  • Well-developed influencing, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness and knowledge of freight forwarding/logistics.
