About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Assistant to join our team in the Blood Sciences department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Biomedical Scientists and other laboratory staff in the Blood Sciences department.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analysers, including manual, semi-automated, and fully automated systems.
- Perform a range of technical tasks, including sample preparation, testing, and data entry.
- Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Participate in the training and development of less experienced staff members.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
