Role Overview
As the Finance Manager for Home & Furniture, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Trading teams, delivering insightful financial analysis, and influencing key decisions to enhance our overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a financial partner to the Home & Furniture leadership team, while also supporting the broader Commercial team as necessary.
- Engage in weekly trading meetings, providing constructive challenge and ensuring thorough performance evaluations.
- Analyze management reports to offer valuable insights and commentary to stakeholders, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Identify and communicate strategic and operational risks and opportunities to the Head of Finance.
- Participate in regular meetings to ensure Finance's perspective is represented in discussions impacting P&L.
- Develop an external viewpoint to effectively engage and influence business strategies.
- Conduct tailored analyses as required to drive operational improvements.
- Collaborate with the business to manage Forecasting & Budgeting in alignment with FP&A timelines.
- Construct strategic business cases and assist in post-implementation evaluations as needed.
- Support and challenge the business in managing strategic projects and initiatives.
- Lead and nurture a team of two finance analysts, fostering their professional growth.
Candidate Profile
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a strong focus on enhancing financial and commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- Proven track record in analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
- Self-driven team player, capable of working independently.
- Experience in leading teams, including motivating and developing talent.
