About the Team

Our multidisciplinary team at Restalrig Park Medical Centre is a Section 2(c) Practice within NHS Lothian, directly managed by Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership. Our team consists of Practice Manager, GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants, Community Nurses, Health Visiting Staff, Assistant Practice Manager, Medical Secretary, Admin Support Staff, and Receptionists.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and supportive team as a Medical Receptionist on a permanent basis. Your role will be to provide exceptional customer care to our patients and high-quality administrative support to the GPs and other members of the Primary Care Health Team.

Working Arrangements

Shifts are as follows:

  • Monday: 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
  • Tuesday: Day Off
  • Wednesday: 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
  • Thursday: Day Off
  • Friday: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm

We expect flexibility in helping to cover gaps in the rota due to annual leave, etc.

What We Offer

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
