Job Description

Stone Marine Services is seeking a highly skilled Marine Technical Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our marine services, working closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those from China to Brazil. This role offers a challenging and varied experience, with opportunities to grow and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical team in providing expert advice on marine engineering and vessel systems
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Manage budgets and control costs to ensure successful project delivery
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers, OEM principals, service planners, and project teams
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in marine engineering

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in marine technical management
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to decipher technical drawings
  • Strong leadership and management skills to lead a technical team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of propulsion systems and vessel systems
