About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team at McCarthy Recruitment. As a Sales Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main contact between the company and its customer and supplier network, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Develop customer and supplier leads, tracking locations and availability of products.
  • Negotiate and re-negotiate supply rates to ensure optimal pricing.
  • Gather market and customer information to inform sales strategies.
  • Arrange deliveries between customers, suppliers, and manufacturers, ensuring timely and efficient logistics.
  • Manage the diary of key account holders and coordinate events with the sales team.
  • Creation of reports and monitoring service delivery to ensure high standards.
  • Manage the phone system and computer systems, ensuring seamless communication and data management.
  • Negotiate confidently and chase up sales opportunities, ensuring maximum revenue potential.
  • Prepare and finalize quotations and proposals, closing out sales enquiries.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar sales administrator or admin role in a busy office environment.
  • Customer-facing experience, either in customer service or sales.
  • A larger-than-life personality, able to be a brand ambassador with a confident and professional telephone manner.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, able to work towards the needs of the business.
  • Proven multi-tasking experience, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • High standard of written English, with fast and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Excellent cost control and focus.
  • Knowledge of database systems.
  • Highly organized and structured in their approach to task management.
  • Focused attitude towards workload, with the ability to prioritize and deliver under pressure with a high attention to detail.
  • Track record in achieving targets and driving profitability.
  • Resilient, driven, and able to spot potential opportunities for business development.
  • Energetic and positive personality, with the ability to challenge and be proactive.
