Production Manager

About the Role:- Manage the day-to-day activities of the production team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Team Leaders in individual production areas, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate work force availability, including holidays, absenteeism, and disciplinary issues, to minimize disruptions and maintain production targets.
- Set production objectives in line with the Operations Management strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives.
- Update Operations Manager on production activities and issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Communicate KPI information to the production team, ensuring targets are met and performance is optimized.
- Guarantee adherence to production processes, specifications, and quality management systems, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Generate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where required, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure maintenance and calibration controls of all equipment are carried out in line with company policies, minimizing downtime and optimizing production efficiency.
- Assist in Continuous Improvements activities, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Sound knowledge of managing a machine shop environment, with experience in production leadership and team management.
- Ability to implement and develop LEAN procedures, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Previous experience of working in a complicated manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality management systems.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in software applications and systems used in production management.
