As a Care Companion with Home Instead, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of older adults, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
- Encourage clients to engage in activities that bring them joy and fulfillment, such as hobbies, exercise, or socializing.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and address any concerns or needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in care and support.
Requirements
- Compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely caring approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a sense of humor and ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of clients.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (for Evening Care Assistants).
- Aged 18+ and able to commit to a regular schedule.
