Mammography Advanced Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Advanced Practitioner to join our team at an excellent Breast Imaging Service in Wigan. This is a fantastic chance to work with a reputable NHS service on a full-time locum basis, with a 6-month contract.

The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate certificate in Mammography and a postgraduate module in X-Ray Guided Breast Interventional Biopsy. They will be responsible for providing intervention cover in breast assessment and breast symptomatic clinics, performing 14G breast biopsies, 10G VAB, and localisation procedures such as magseeds/hook wire procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality mammography services to patients
  • Perform breast biopsies and other interventional procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the breast imaging team to ensure excellent patient care
