About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GP with a Specialist Interest in Dermatology to join our dynamic clinical team at Healthcare Central London's Community Dermatology Service (CDS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face and/or remote patient consultations, assessments, and diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, provide advice on self-care and lifestyle modifications, and signpost patients to other services when necessary.
  • Participate in patient triage processes to prioritize and handle appointments based on clinical urgency and need.
  • Conduct or participate in webinars aimed at improving management of dermatological conditions at primary care level.
  • Provide patients with clear information about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to empower them to take an active role in their healthcare.
  • Collaborate with members of other services, such as ANPs, nurses, FCPs, pharmacists, and administrative staff, to provide coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, including clinical notes, investigations, treatment plans, and referrals, in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement activities, participate in clinical audits, maintain professional logbooks, and adhere to clinical governance frameworks to maintain high standards of care and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Qualified GMC Registered GP.
  • MRCGP.
  • Accredited as a GPwER/GPwSI.
  • Entry on the Performer's List.
  • Proven experience in handling a busy and varied community care caseloads and responding flexibly to workload fluctuations.
  • Clinical experience of 2+ years.
  • Experience of clinical triage.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Training in Clinical Leadership or Management.
  • Teaching / Training experience.
  • Experience using S1, Accurx.
  • Delivery of clinical audit.
  • Experience of working in Westminster general practice.
