Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Summary:

The Fixed Asset Accountant will play a crucial role in the Accounting & Finance team within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry. This position is responsible for managing the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate and timely processing of asset requests, settlements, and disposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process daily asset requests and reconcile the fixed asset register to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  2. Assist with the recharging of project costs, processing asset disposals, and impairment of fixed assets as required.
  3. Report on fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation on a monthly basis for the board.
  4. Prepare capital expenditure, disposal, and depreciation budgets.
  5. Settle functional locations, events, and customers monthly.
  6. Prepare estates expenditure budgets and report on performance versus estates expenditure budget as required.
  7. Assist with year-end tasks relating to fixed assets, including preparation of the Fixed Assets note.
  8. Maintain a schedule of assets held for sale.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Excel, pivot tables, look-ups).
  • AAT Qual/Part Qual.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
