HGV Class 1 Driver (Day Shift, 4 On/4 Off)

Menzies Distribution is seeking skilled HGV drivers holding a C+E licence to become part of our dynamic team, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

What Does the Role Entail?
  • Engage in a 48-hour work schedule, consisting of 4 days on followed by 4 days off
  • Day Drivers - Competitive pay at £14.25 per hour / £31,126.00 annually
  • Enjoy 20 days of annual leave, not including public holidays
  • Breaks are compensated
  • Receive monthly remuneration and benefit from onsite parking
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Class 1 Driver:
  • Perform driving duties in compliance with legal regulations and best practices for both deliveries and collections
  • Transport products on behalf of the organization and its clientele
  • Utilize electronic Proof of Delivery systems and modern technology, with comprehensive training provided
  • Assist with loading and unloading activities
Qualifications for HGV Class 1 Drivers:
  • Possess a valid UK C+E licence
  • Ideally have a minimum of 12 months experience in class 1 driving
  • Exhibit strong driving skills
  • Maintain fewer than 6 penalty points on your driving licence and no recent disqualifications
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Have a solid understanding of driving hours and regulations
