Job Title: Engineering Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team at Thales. As an Engineering Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams to generate innovative solutions that meet customer needs
  • Develop and implement engineering delivery strategies to ensure project success
  • Manage interfaces with the overall delivery strategy for the wider program
  • Work with the Program Manager to define the organization and work breakdown required to deliver to customer needs
  • Define engineering team work packages in terms of resources required, budgets assigned to each task, risks, and assumptions on these and the timescales to deliver within
  • Plan and prioritize activities required to deliver the solution to the contract schedule, costs, and quality
  • Manage and report on engineering efficiency for the project
  • Identify re-use opportunities across the project
  • Act as the People Manager for the engineering team on the project and provide feedback into the people manager reviews with the functional discipline leads

Requirements:

  • Strong background in engineering with experience in successfully defining and leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with multiple parallel objectives
  • Knowledge and experience of naval products would be beneficial to this role
