Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Brent. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum and school guidelines, ensuring a engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage and motivate students to actively participate in lessons, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking, and promoting academic excellence.
  • Regularly assess and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents/carers, maintaining open lines of communication and providing regular updates on student progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events, promoting a sense of belonging and school spirit.
Requirements
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in RE.
  • Proven experience teaching RE in a primary or secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of different teaching and learning strategies, adapting them to meet the needs of individual students, and promoting inclusive and diverse learning practices.
  • Effective behaviour management skills, ensuring a positive and respectful classroom environment, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues, and promoting a collaborative and supportive learning community.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in RE education.
