Maintenance Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee general reactive maintenance tasks within the social housing sector.
You will collaborate with a prominent main contractor in the social housing industry, playing a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of all maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of maintenance operatives and contractors to address reactive maintenance requests efficiently.
- Conducting property inspections to determine repair and maintenance requirements, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinating work order allocations, scheduling repairs, and overseeing the daily operations of the team.
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including materials utilized and associated costs.
- Monitoring budgets and expenditures, providing recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Fostering positive relationships with residents and addressing their inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on housing-related issues.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Providing regular updates and reports to management regarding the status of maintenance operations.
- Participating in the onboarding process for new team members.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Supervisor position, candidates should possess:
- A trade qualification such as NVQ or City and Guilds.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Relevant experience in the social housing sector.
Additional Information:
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000, along with a van and fuel card. It is a temporary to permanent position, with a contract offered following a probationary period.
