Job Title: Advanced Pharmacist for Community Services

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to join our team as an Advanced Pharmacist for Community Services. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing clinical pharmacy services to West Cumberland Hospital and the surrounding community.

About the Role

This is a Band 6 to 7 progression post, offering a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a qualified pharmacist. You will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, including medication management, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to study for a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy practice and develop your skills in independent prescribing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication management and patient safety initiatives
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • MPharm or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in acute and community pharmacy services
  • Independent prescribing qualification or commitment to achieving this
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
