Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Engineer

An outstanding career opportunity has emerged for a Skilled Engineer to become part of the Arriva Bus family, stationed at our Enfield Garage.

Role Overview:
As a PSV Mechanic, you will be responsible for executing scheduled and preventative maintenance, alongside diagnostic troubleshooting and responsive repairs to a fleet of London buses operated commercially. Your work will adhere to the rigorous standards established by both Arriva and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs in compliance with Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Enhancing vehicle reliability through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT, executing planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and performing quality checks
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults and ensuring maintenance aligns with Arriva Standards, which exceed DVSA requirements

Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications for PSV/HGV/Light vehicle maintenance and repair - a minimum of NVQ level 2 or an equivalent international qualification (confirmation required)
  • Consideration for candidates with at least five years of experience in PSV/HGV/Light vehicle repair and maintenance, even if not formally qualified
  • A valid UK driving license with no more than six points
  • Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical examination
