Job Title: Traffic Controller

Location: East Midlands, Derbyshire, Clay Cross

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Construction and Infrastructure

Salary: £15 - £15 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Controlling and directing traffic on construction sites to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel.
  • Verifying vehicles entering and leaving the site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with site regulations.
  • Ensuring the safety of pedestrians and workers in the vicinity by implementing and enforcing site safety protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with drivers and site personnel to ensure smooth site operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements to track site activity and identify areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Traffic Marshall certification
  • CSCS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a Gateman or Traffic Marshall is preferred, but not required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
