SEN Learning Support Assistant Job Description

We are working closely with special schools in the Devizes area to find dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their teams. These schools cater to students with SEMH and SEND needs, including ASD, SEMH, SLD, MLD, PMLD, and Complex Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general classroom support and 1-1 work with students
  • Assist the class teacher with daily tasks and activities
  • Work collaboratively with other TAs in the class to ensure a smooth learning environment

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of students and support their individual needs. You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, with a strong ability to build relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with special needs students
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
