Insight Select is seeking a Lead Financial Strategist to join our team on an initial contract basis. This role will involve close collaboration with senior executives and will focus on financial partnership. This is a comprehensive and stimulating opportunity that will contribute to the enhancement of various business functions and future strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a pivotal role in a new initiative and assist in establishing frameworks to ensure quality and risk management across the business sector.
  • Lead the initiative's development and identify immediate priorities for the team.
  • Assist in formulating a 3-5 year strategic roadmap.
  • Create financial models to assess costs and benefits while providing commercial insights.
  • Utilize analysis to monitor progress against the initiative.
  • Drive accountability for both investment and operational costs.
  • Support and critically evaluate investment proposals, ensuring financial considerations are thorough and outcomes are both feasible and measurable.
  • Deliver insights and analyses on the business sector and collaborate with finance teams and financial directors to showcase progress.
  • Build upon recent evaluations and outline strategies to achieve cost reductions and identify potential savings opportunities.
  • Lead the core planning process related to budgets and collaborate with business partners on this matter.
  • Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and planning within the business sector.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register effectively.
  • Mentor and develop junior management while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a qualified accountant.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a comparable role within a commercial setting.
  • Experience in a technology-oriented business environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in financial modeling.
  • Experienced in business partnership with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and promote continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial systems.

Compensation Package:

  • Up to £720 per day Umbrella.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility.
  • 6-month contract with potential for extension.
