Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant (1:1 Assistance)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and empathetic SEN Support Assistant to join our team, providing individualized assistance for a Year 5 student with ADHD at a dynamic primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized support to a Year 5 student with ADHD, ensuring their academic and emotional requirements are fulfilled.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom setting, promoting the child's social and educational growth.
  • Track and report on the child's development, adjusting strategies as needed to facilitate their success.
  • Employ various methods and resources to engage the child in learning tasks and help maintain their focus and motivation.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with ADHD.
  • A patient, compassionate, and understanding demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not mandatory).
