Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team at Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology North West. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary medical team, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of ophthalmic procedures and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • Perform a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the service, working in accordance with our protocols and working practices.
  • Treat both NHS and private patients, providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care.
  • Work in a well-structured and relaxed environment, with access to great facilities and a supportive team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the training and education of junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

  • UK registered medical professional with a strong background in ophthalmology.
  • Experience in performing a range of ophthalmic procedures, including cataract surgery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.
