About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Riverwalk School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs and severe learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning, working with small groups and one-to-one as required.
  • Facilitate access to learning for pupils with SEND across the school.
  • Provide a good role model for students and fellow colleagues.
  • Be prepared to use a range of strategies to support a diverse range of complex needs.
  • Support tasks relating to 'real life' experiences.
  • Passionate about supporting learning characteristics in pupils.
  • Able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Have a desire to participate in school and Trust CPD opportunities.
  • Have an awareness of Safeguarding.
Requirements
  • Have some knowledge about SEND.
  • Passionate about ensuring the highest quality learning for children with complex needs and severe learning difficulties.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Grade C/4+ Maths and English.
