Overview:
ALH Recruitment is seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join a prominent client in the engineering sector. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of welding and fabrication are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and authorize project Final Inspection Release Certificates, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and relevant inspection and testing procedures.
- Evaluate and approve vendor manufacturing documentation including WPS, PQR, NDE, and painting procedures.
- Review Inspection and Test Records, ensuring the sign-off and approval of final Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).
- Provide inspection services for European suppliers as necessary.
- Conduct dimensional, visual, NDE, and other inspections during the manufacturing process and upon completion.
- Support all departments with quality control initiatives.
- Assist Project Managers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company QC objectives.
- Identify opportunities to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.
- Adhere to company guidelines and policies.
- Promote adherence to the Company QHSE Policy, fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Review fabrication drawings and prepare Weld Procedures along with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Testing Procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Proficient knowledge of structural steel and pipework fabrication, CE Marking, Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU), and ISO 3834.
- Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, PCN level II DPE, MPI, and Radiographic interpretation.
- Familiarity with Euronorm and ASME construction, inspection, and welding codes and standards.
- European Welding Engineer certification is a plus.
- Experience in quality control activities within an engineering or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to implement innovative processes.
- Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented.
- Confident and assertive in decision-making.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
