Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join our Engineering team at our Ossett Production Facility. In this role, you will provide technical support to the Production function under the leadership of the Engineering Maintenance Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and correct functioning of equipment by:
- Conducting planned maintenance inspections and reviewing frequencies and parts used.
- Recommending improvements to maintenance schedules and carrying out safety checks on equipment.
- Overhauling and repairing plant, monitoring plant conditions, and reporting defects.
- Completing stores requisitions for parts and contract services.
- Performing in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and process failure.
- Helping to generate and maintain compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments.
- Carrying out work in a standardized way.
- Reporting plant performance using company systems and ensuring action on non-conformance issues.
- Ensuring operational key information is effectively communicated to colleagues and other shift teams.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with a time-served apprenticeship or a formal engineering qualification in an electrical discipline, along with corresponding practical experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience in continuous improvement, RCA, and training.
