Award-winning Kent main contractor seeks a skilled Buyer to join its team and contribute to its growth and success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Preconstruction team to develop tenders and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with the design team to identify areas of opportunity and risk, and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage the selection and procurement of all plant and materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Oversee the selection and placement of subcontract orders, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Partner with the QS and site manager to deliver profitable projects on time, on budget, and with minimal defects.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working for a contractor on projects up to £20M.
  • Successful track record on new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Ability to perform take-offs and remeasures independently.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Passion for the construction industry and a willingness to learn and improve.
