We invite applications for a Specialist Physician role focused on Cerebrovascular Medicine.
This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of the dedicated Stroke team within our organization, comprising enthusiastic and dynamic Physicians committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to a predominantly rural community. We are currently seeking to fill two full-time Specialist Physician positions dedicated to Stroke Medicine.
The primary objective of these roles is to guarantee the highest standard of care for our population, encompassing everything from the prevention of acute conditions to comprehensive rehabilitation services. The successful candidates will integrate into a vibrant, hardworking team.
This position qualifies for a Recruitment and Retention premium of 30% of the base salary on a fixed-term basis for two years, alongside opportunities for pursuing sub-specialty interests and robust support for research endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include:
Delivering both inpatient and outpatient services for individuals experiencing stroke, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), and suspected cerebrovascular disorders. Contributing to the acute stroke specialist service, which includes administering thrombolysis and other advanced treatments. The acute stroke services are currently undergoing a review in alignment with regional health authority guidelines. We utilize advanced telemedicine technology to enhance various aspects of stroke care. Collaborate with the clinical and managerial teams to foster quality improvements within the Stroke Unit and the broader community. Engaging actively in both undergraduate and postgraduate education and training. Participating in clinical and other service activities aimed at maintaining a high standard of patient care.About Our Organization
