About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Manager to join our team at ScottishPower. As a key member of our Cyber Security function, you will be responsible for leading our Cyber Security Operations team and ensuring the delivery of resilient and dependable security services across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Cyber Security Operations professionals and manage the delivery of security services, including Security Operations, Response and Recovery, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management, Identity Management, and Penetration Testing.
  • Work closely with leaders in IT, Security, Information Security Risk, and key suppliers to shape the operating model of the function and ensure it meets the current and future needs of the business.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures to protect our OT systems against threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage the performance of suppliers and establish good working relationships with internal stakeholders to support and meet their business area needs.
  • Communicate with non-technical audiences throughout the business to translate technical language and establish business-wide understanding where necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a multifunctional Cyber Security Operations team within an organisation of comparable scale.
  • Previous experience managing Cyber Security in an IT or OT environment with both internal and external service provision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to think both tactically and strategically, solve complex problems, and negotiate successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning, managing, and controlling SOC functions and operations.
  • Relevant industry information security qualification, such as CISSP, CISM, BCS ISMP, or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, with significant skills and experience in understanding the security operational controls of an OT environment at a technical level.
