We are seeking caring and passionate Support Workers to join our Residential Service for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs in Bristol City Centre.
This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £24,606 - £26,582, plus a £1500 welcome bonus. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to residents, enabling them to live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Work 1:1 with residents on each shift, planning their day in line with their choices and wishes.
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence.
- Support residents in a wide range of learning, development, and social activities, including arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening, swimming, shopping trips, and fun social occasions.
- Ensure the safety of service users and follow care plans for each individual.
- Take service users out into the community and participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
- No experience is required, but a motivated and proactive approach is essential.
- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible.
- Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and understanding.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
