Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee hygiene operations. The Hygiene Supervisor will manage daily sanitation activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage daily in health and safety management, including incident reporting and investigations.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety within the department.
  • Develop and maintain written cleaning procedures for all tasks.
  • Ensure cleaning staff receive adequate training to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule cleaning tasks to meet required frequencies.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct inspections of cleaning standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify training needs and assist in the development of team skills.
  • Order hygiene supplies, including PPE and cleaning chemicals.
  • Collaborate with the Hygiene Manager to manage departmental expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of Due Diligence related to Food Safety, Quality, and Legislation.
  • Take appropriate action upon witnessing any breaches of Food Safety, Quality, or Legislation.

Work Schedule:

4 on 4 off, from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • COSHH certification
  • Proficient in IT
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use
  • Ability to manage dedicated cleaning schedules
  • Experience in stock management and ordering

Desirable:

  • HACCP Awareness training
  • Experience in auditing
  • Basic microbiological knowledge
  • Awareness of Listeria
  • Familiarity with allergen cleaning protocols
