Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate Machinery: You will be responsible for safely operating machinery to create packaging products, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that the equipment is properly maintained.
  • Maximize Efficiency: You will work to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, ensuring that production targets are met and exceeded.
  • Meet Productivity Targets: You will work to achieve productivity and performance targets as set by management, ensuring that all production goals are met.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: You will ensure that consistent and quality standards are met at all times, adhering to our company's quality control procedures.
  • Maintain Equipment: You will maintain and clean equipment in line with the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Label and Stack Products: You will label products and stack them on pallets, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
  • Manage Inventory: You will scan products and manage inventory, ensuring that all products are accurately tracked and stored.
  • Follow Safe Systems of Work: You will work in line with a safe system of work (SSOW), adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Legislation: You will adhere to all UK Health and Safety legislation, ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • Production Experience: You will have previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: You will have excellent knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Teamwork and Motivation: You will be a good team player, motivated and quality conscious, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: You will be able to work on your feet for long periods of time and conduct manual handling, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • FLT License: A FLT license is desirable, but not essential.
