Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to clients via various communication channels, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Incident Management: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage incidents and service requests through our in-house ticketing system, and ensure they are tracked until fully resolved.
  • IT Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets within our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) system.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Manage purchasing requests, adhering to financial processes, negotiating with suppliers, and liaising with users.
  • Compliance and Governance: Adhere to established IT service desk policies, processes, and standards, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal obligations.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: Provide out-of-hours support for business-critical faults outside of normal working hours.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Incident Management Experience: Experience managing incidents and service requests through a ticketing system.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and suggest improvements for recurring issues.
  • IT Asset Management Knowledge: Knowledge of IT asset management and CMDB systems.
  • Purchasing and Procurement Experience: Experience in managing purchasing requests and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of IT trends and technologies.
