About the Role

Croydon Council is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Procurement Team as a Sourcing Support Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of an effective sourcing process for sub-threshold procurements and ensuring compliance across the strategic procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of an effective sourcing process for sub-threshold procurements
  • Aid compliance across the strategic procurement process
  • Provide advice and support to Client Services on sourcing sub-threshold procurements
  • Work with stakeholders on a project-by-project basis to ensure compliance to the purchasing and procurement process for agreed areas of expenditure
  • Maintain reports/lists of existing suppliers on Oracle Fusion (or equivalent) by spend category
  • Ensure that signed contracts have been lodged in the contract repository and that the contract award notice is published on Contracts Finder
  • Provide advice on sub-threshold procurements, utilizing an understanding of the essentials of contract law and public procurement legislation
