Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to work as a Class 1 Driver for an ongoing position with our well-established client in Hinkley, Leicester. This particular company is a reputable and well-known local business, offering a great working environment for drivers.

The Role:

The Class 1 Driver will be responsible for operating modern and clean HGV trucks, with minimal handball required and most stock taken off by a forklift truck. The runs will be mainly distance, with no night outs planned, ensuring the driver is home every night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage own driving and WTD hours
  • Adhere to H&S rules
  • Ensure trucks are left clean and tidy

Requirements:

  • Class 1 / CAT C+E entitlement on their licence
  • Valid Digital tacho & CPC Card
  • Safety Boots & Hi Viz Vest

Working Hours:

The start time will be between 11:00 - 12:00 mid-day, with the Class 1 Driver working upwards of 45 hours over a 5-day period, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: up to £15.28 per hour (weekdays, Monday to Friday)
  • Overtime rate: up to £22.00 per hour
