Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver practical and effective technical solutions to engineering challenges
  • Assess existing and prospective manufacturers for technical capability and compliance
  • Conduct technical studies on project-related issues and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
  • Review engineering and design proposals for large-scale projects
  • Develop and refine engineering documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications (FEED)
  • Participate in HAZOP/SIL assessments and demonstrate knowledge of IEC 61511
  • Collaborate with design engineers, operations teams, procurement, and other internal departments
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies
Note: Hybrid working arrangements may be available based on project requirements.

Qualifications:
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors
  • Experience with projects in the Middle East is preferred
  • Proven track record in FEED projects
  • In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and control fundamentals, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis
  • Experience in instrument selection for process applications
  • Strong understanding of boiler, process heater, and furnace control systems
  • Familiarity with materials and selection criteria for inline instrumentation
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring methods, and hazardous area design
  • Proficient in national and international standards related to ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC
  • Experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with a focus on instrument and control installations
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), including Foundation Fieldbus
  • Proficient in project control systems and final acceptance testing
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in technical and office software
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
