About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of History to join our team at Winton Community Academy. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the History department, ensuring that our students receive an outstanding education in this subject.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the History department, ensuring that our students receive an outstanding education in this subject.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive History curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of History teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students in History, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's overall curriculum and educational vision.
