About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our National Response Team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our customers in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment to stated processes and procedures.
  • Perform upgrades and refurbishments on customer sites.
  • Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with local clients' health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with company procedures.
  • Cooperate by working overtime as and when required.
  • Participate in the on-call standby rota system as needed.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and provide technical support via phone and email where required.

Requirements

  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills.
  • Minimum ONC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Ideal experience in a field service role and familiarity with customer service aspects, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage.
  • Good PC literacy.
  • Good organisation skills focused on reliably delivering what is promised.
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Full current UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
  • Track-record of contributing and being successful in a similar role.
