About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our trauma-informed team to meet the social, emotional, and educational needs of young people.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, risk assessments, and review reports.
  • Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to promote self-care skills.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people.
  • Experience of working with children and families, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records, and to verbally present information and views.
  • Ability to challenge individuals where necessary, remain calm and objective in difficult situations.
  • HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care, or equivalent qualification.
