Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacy Lead to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our virtual wards team and providing clinical pharmacy services to patients.

About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacy Lead will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical pharmacy services to patients in our virtual wards
  • Leading and managing a team of clinical pharmacists
  • Developing and implementing clinical guidelines and policies
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or evidence of equivalent experience
  • Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in clinical pharmacy, including experience working in hospital or interface pharmacy services
  • Proven experience as a specialist clinical pharmacist

Desirable Criteria

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Leadership/management qualification or working towards
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Experience as a Clinical Pharmacy tutor to trainee and post-registration foundation level pharmacists
