Secondary School Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic secondary special school in Swindon. The successful candidate will work with students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and other special needs & disabilities.
The school is committed to providing support to students across three sites in Swindon. The ideal candidate will be proactive in their support of students, providing general emotional support and assisting class teachers with lesson planning and classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1-1 support for students with SEMH & ASD
- Assisting class teachers with lesson planning and overall classroom management
- Providing general emotional support to students across the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with secondary-aged children, preferably within a UK setting
- Strong/confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for mental health within education
