Job OverviewShape Technologies Group UK Ltd is a leading entity in the waterjet cutting industry, specializing in the development and provision of high-pressure waterjet systems. We are currently seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures in the field.
  • Provide technical assistance for waterjet machinery both remotely and on-site.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support to minimize operational downtime.
  • Independently execute installations of advanced waterjet systems across various locations.
  • Represent the technical service division professionally during field operations.
  • Conduct customer training sessions on system startup and safety compliance.
  • Offer technical guidance during installation, training, and service engagements.
  • Exhibit flexibility in travel and adapt to changing work environments.
  • Make informed, customer-focused decisions with minimal oversight.
  • Generate precise and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations diligently.
  • Be prepared to work additional hours, including weekends, as required.
  • Remain on-site until all issues are resolved and tasks are completed.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Service Coordinator on customer-related matters and time management.
  • Maintain and organize tools and equipment effectively.

Candidate Profile:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical fields.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in CNC machine installation and training, particularly in motion control systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools, including mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic diagnostics.
  • Proficient in using modern diagnostic tools and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Exhibit a customer-oriented mindset, positive attitude, and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to various work locations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with minimal points.
  • Hold a valid passport and documentation supporting eligibility for UK residency and employment.
