The purpose of this role is to conduct in-depth investment research on existing and potential new equity strategies for inclusion in portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough research on existing and prospective equity managers across the global, emerging markets, and regional equity fund universe.
  2. Engage in due diligence meetings with fund managers and prepare comprehensive post-meeting reports detailing insights and observations.
  3. Participate in investment meetings, providing updates on developments in the funds under coverage and contributing to idea generation.
  4. Conduct market and sector research to identify new investment opportunities.
  5. Assist in the analysis and management of portfolios and underlying exposures.
  6. Provide Portfolio Managers with regular updates on key macroeconomic and market insights.
  7. Prepare investment and portfolio reports to communicate findings with the wider investment team.

Requirements:

  1. 3-6 years of relevant manager research experience at an asset manager, asset owner, or investment consultancy.
  2. Extensive knowledge of the global equity manager universe.
  3. Understanding of multi-manager portfolio management processes.
  4. CFA qualification is highly desirable.
  5. Degree-educated professional.
  6. Strong analytical skills.
  7. Able to present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
  9. Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
