Trainee Print Technician

Position Overview

The Trainee Print Technician will be immersed in the intricacies of pressure-sensitive label production and printing methodologies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a secure production environment
  • Preparing substrates for printing
  • Configuring the printing press
  • Overseeing print quality assurance
  • Coordinating post-printing processes

Training Program

The training is conducted at Macfarlane Labels in Kilmarnock, with support from Print Scotland. Trainees will receive comprehensive guidance throughout their learning journey, including protocols for hygiene and safety.

Career Pathways

Upon successful completion of the training program, individuals will have the opportunity to advance into skilled roles at various printing facilities or move up to supervisory or managerial positions.
