We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Surveyor to join our team as a Rural Estates Manager. This is a senior position that requires a deep understanding of rural estate management, conservation, and recreation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop our extensive rural property portfolio, comprising 3500 hectares of land, including traditional upland estates, heritage, and recreational assets.
- Lead on the development of estate management plans, guided by our Asset Management Plan.
- Provide technical support and line management to the Rural Estates Team, including a Rural Surveyor, Woodlands Manager, and Estate Rangers.
- Manage a number of existing Countryside Stewardship Schemes and explore new opportunities under ELM/Green Finance.
- Work with our building surveyors and Corporate Property professionals to ensure the effective repair and maintenance of our 200 plus rural buildings.
- Identify capital development projects, including new farm buildings, and manage estate budgets to meet our financial targets.
You will be a RICS qualified Rural Surveyor with sound experience of all the normal rural estate management duties and other associated professional work. A proven interest in managing conservation, recreation, and heritage assets is essential. You must have good organization, financial management, and communication skills.
