Senior C++ Software Developer | £90,000 - £120,000 | C++, Low Latency, Optimisation

A cutting-edge technology firm, idpp, is seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Software Developer to join their team. As a key member of the development team, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our systems to meet growing user demands and driving the development of new features. Your primary focus will be on our edge-computing stack, which includes building edge applications, deploying machine learning models, optimizing platform runtime, and enhancing observability and telemetry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop edge applications for processing vision data and communication layers for compute-constrained edge devices.
  • Deploy machine learning models into production environments, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
  • Optimize platform runtime for maximum performance, utilizing C++ and GPU capabilities to achieve low latency.
  • Develop and implement observability and telemetry mechanisms to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in C++ development for production software, with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
  • Proficiency in building applications processing real-time data and optimizing for latency and memory, with a deep understanding of C++ and its applications.
  • Experience with various profiling tools (e.g., gdb, Nsight, Valgrind, flame graph) for code optimization and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with edge/IoT computing, infrastructure management, monitoring, and video processing & streaming.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with interfacing with ML models.
