The successful candidate will oversee the execution of all project goals and the delivery of essential outcomes, while providing comprehensive professional and organizational support to the Principal Investigator.
This role encompasses supervision of all project functions; conducting research and preparing reports and presentations; engaging with key internal and external stakeholders; and proactively managing critical components of project execution.
The individual will report directly to the Principal Investigator and will be situated within the Information Studies department of the College of Arts.
Key Responsibilities 1.To strategize and implement effective operational support for the administration and management of the AHRC-funded project, ensuring oversight of project milestones and deliverables across various partners and collaborators for successful project completion.
2.Assist the Principal Investigator and their project management team in monitoring overall project development, execution, and progress to guarantee successful outcomes.
3. Maintain the comprehensive project plan, making updates as necessary, and ensuring alignment with the Risk Register. 4.Establish and sustain effective communication channels to ensure the seamless flow of information and robust relationships among project partners and key stakeholders, including organizing and coordinating pertinent meetings.
5.Proactively plan and coordinate the development of project activities and workshops, while monitoring the execution of these initiatives by project partners and collaborators.
6. Manage all relationships with project partners, serving as the primary contact for external collaborators and organizations, including new partners providing content and expertise as needed. 7. Oversee the implementation of the project's engagement and dissemination strategy. 8. Organize outreach and impact events. 9. Coordinate project reporting, facilitating regular project review meetings, including monthly workstream reports and annual evaluations, while supporting project closure. 10. Provide specialized advice and assistance for all inquiries related to the project. 11.Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and their project management team to organize and manage financial and business processes, ensuring all project aspects meet their budgetary forecasts and key performance indicators.
12. Monitor and manage budget allocation and expenditures. 13. Deliver management information, forecasting, and analysis to support project, school, college, and university requirements. 14.Assist the Principal Investigator and their project management team in creating and maintaining the project risk register, GANTT chart, action logs, etc., in support of the overall project.
15.Lead the management of knowledge generated by the project and support the development of the impact and innovation pipeline related to the project.
16.Identify and implement opportunities to enhance administrative systems, processes, and procedures to improve project delivery management.
17. Undertake any other relevant project management support tasks as required.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Essential Knowledge / Qualifications: A1 Demonstrated competencies required for this level of position, having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills through similar roles.
Or:
A Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 9 (Ordinary Degree, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4), or equivalent (including professional accreditation with relevant formal training), along with experience in similar or related roles. A2 Expertise in project management.
A3 Understanding of data integrity and its significance.Desirable: B1 Postgraduate degree or qualification in a related field.
B2 Familiarity with the Higher Education research landscape and large-scale research grant management.

F6 Experience in project management within a digital humanities or cultural heritage context. Terms and Conditions Salary will be at Grade 7, with a range of £39,347 - £44,263 per annum.
This position is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term.
