Facilities Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at our Shropshire facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of facility assets.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Complete repairs and renovations to maintain the safety, efficiency, and appearance of the facility.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair projects.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
  • Implement energy conservation measures and promote sustainable practices within the facility.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all staff and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
