About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide personalized care to a young gentleman with a brain injury and multi-sensory impairment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting the client's independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to enable effective communication and the reception of clear information
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as food preparation, cleaning, and personal care
  • Liaise closely with the family and professionals involved in the client's day-to-day life
  • Deliver a daily exercise regime based on the client's physiotherapy programme
  • Encourage the client to take full advantage of learning, vocational, and social experiences/activities
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Understanding of the complexity and implications of multi-sensory impairment
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Full, UK driving licence
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
